Algonquin Eco-Lodge, United States

A naturally perfect sustainable holiday

  • Algonquin Eco-Lodge, United States

WHY WE LIKE IT

One of their goals is to minimize their their impact on the environment. That's why they use their own waterfall to create alternative energy. Small impact on the environment, but not restricting their guests comfort. The hot tub for example is heated with electricity from their own waterfall.

HOTEL DESCRIPTION

The Eco-Lodge is set deep in the forests of the southern part of Algonquin Park. It is so remote that there are no hydro lines, telephone lines, or even cell service. What they do have is an abundance of nature and wilderness. It has the feel and atmosphere a European mountain lodge, and is one of the most secluded lodges in the Algonquin Park.

ACTIVITIES

Depending on the season (winter/summer) Algonquin offers several activities. In the summer their trail network is perfect for hiking, horseback riding, mountainbiking or a 3 day trip with the canoe. During the winter the  climate is ideal for 'wilderness' skiing tours, snowshoe trails and exciting dog sledding expiditions.
